After the state examination (2007) and doctorate (T\\u00fcbingen 2012, with a thesis on the political-rhetorical writings of Isocrates of Athens), I worked in earlier positions as a research assistant in T\\u00fcbingen (2010) and Mainz (2010-2013) as well as a junior professor of Greek History at Saarland University (2013-2016). In the 2019\\\/2020 winter semester, I also substituted the chair of Roman history at the University of M\\u00fcnster.  &lt;\\\/p&gt;\\n\\n\\n\\n&lt;p&gt;My research focuses on the history of education and intellectuality (especially the relationship between politics, rhetoric and Philosophy in classical Athens) and in the field of Roman Religion. I am particularly interested in the communication mechanisms that determine the formation and dissolution of social &#039;third spaces&#039; and separate spaces. This question also determines current research projects on &#039;foreignness&#039; (as spokesperson of the mini-Research Training Group &#039;Urban Difference&#039;), &#039;neighborhood&#039; (subproject in the LOEWE Center &#039;DynaRel&#039;) and on the theater as a special space for political communication (subproject in the MSCA-DN &#039;TheSPIS&#039;). Further interests concern the theory of political rule, the history of historiography and the reception of antiquity in modern popular culture.   &lt;\\\/p&gt;\\n\\n\\n\\n&lt;p&gt;I am a liaison After the state examination (2007) and doctorate (T\u00fcbingen 2012, with a thesis on the political-rhetorical writings of Isocrates of Athens), I worked in earlier positions as a research assistant in T\u00fcbingen (2010) and Mainz (2010-2013) as well as a junior professor of Greek History at Saarland University (2013-2016). In the 2019\/2020 winter semester, I also substituted the chair of Roman history at the University of M\u00fcnster.  <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph {\"translatedWithWPMLTM\":\"1\"} -->\n<p>My research focuses on the history of education and intellectuality (especially the relationship between politics, rhetoric and Philosophy in classical Athens) and in the field of Roman Religion. I am particularly interested in the communication mechanisms that determine the formation and dissolution of social 'third spaces' and separate spaces. This question also determines current research projects on 'foreignness' (as spokesperson of the mini-Research Training Group 'Urban Difference'), 'neighborhood' (subproject in the LOEWE Center 'DynaRel') and on the theater as a special space for political communication (subproject in the MSCA-DN 'TheSPIS').
